Supplier Pass™ verification expands to include capacity and ESG checks

The in-house, patented verification behind every Supplier Pass™ shield now spans 14 checkpoints — adding capacity confirmation and a baseline ESG review to the existing identity and registration checks.

For most of its history, supplier verification in B2B sourcing answered one question: is this company real? JPC's Supplier Pass™ program has just made that question considerably harder to fake — and considerably more useful to answer. The in-house, patented Company Profile Verification (CPV) process now spans 14 checkpoints, adding manufacturing-capacity confirmation and a baseline ESG questionnaire to the identity and registration checks that came before.

From "real" to "ready"

A verified business license tells a buyer that a counterparty exists. It says nothing about whether that counterparty can produce 40,000 units in eight weeks without subcontracting to a factory no one has audited. The capacity checkpoint closes that gap.

Under the expanded process, suppliers seeking the Premium shield now submit:

  • Documented production-line capacity and typical lead times
  • Evidence of in-house versus outsourced manufacturing
  • A baseline ESG questionnaire covering labor, environmental, and compliance posture
  • Updated proof of business registration and export licensing

Verification used to mean "this company exists." Now it means "this company can deliver — and we have asked how."

Why ESG entered the checklist

The ESG questionnaire is deliberately a baseline, not a certification. JPC's position is that a lightweight, honest signal that scales across thousands of suppliers is more valuable to most buyers than a gold-plated audit that only the largest factories can afford. For brands facing tightening import and disclosure rules, even a baseline answer materially de-risks a first order.

How it fits the rest of the network

Capacity data does not sit in a vacuum. It feeds the custom sourcing team, who can now match a buyer's volume requirement against suppliers who have documented — not merely claimed — the capacity to meet it. It also strengthens every listing in the three-million-product catalog: a search result is only as good as the confidence behind it.

What buyers should do with it

Look for the shield, then read past it. The expanded profile means the capacity and ESG fields are now worth reading line by line before requesting a sample. For high-volume or regulated categories, pair the Supplier Pass™ profile with JPC's logistics support to pressure-test lead times end to end. The verification philosophy behind all of it traces back to the company's founding principle — Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism — described on the about page.
